SENDERKIS launches Digital Product Passports powered by OPEN.MODE.

PRESS RELEASE - Published September 30th 2024.

(PARIS, FRANCE) — Luxury handbag brand SENDERKIS and innovative technology platform OPEN.MODE™ have joined forces to launch Digital Product Passport connecting products to engage their customers with their traceability via Unique Digital IDs; Debuting at Tranoï during Paris Fashion Week on September 26th-29th, 2024.

Introducing the 'phygital' Product Passport, or Digital ID, powered by OPEN.MODE™—the first Digital Product Passport that provides complete traceability and transparency for luxury bags designed in New York and handcrafted in Italy and Spain. This pioneering initiative allows customers to instantly access detailed and verified information about a product's origins, materials, impact, and sustainability.

The phygital Birth Certificate will debut at Tranoï during Paris Fashion Week on September 26th-29th, 2024. It will launch alongside SENDERKIS’s second collection, inspired by the white island of Ibiza, aptly titled TALAIA. Marianna Senderkis,  Founder and Creative Director of SENDERKIS, aims to bridge the gap between her products and the often-overlooked details of how products are made. By integrating Digital IDs powered by OPEN.MODE, SENDERKIS customers can tap into the brand's iconic logo and unlock the traceability and transparency of their bags.

We believe that knowing the story behind what you buy empowers you to make more informed, responsible choices."

The Case Study

Each product's story is aligned with SENDERKIS’s four sustainability pillars: Ethical Materials, Supply Chain, Longevity & Circularity, and Giving Back. “SENDERKIS is inspired by the beauty and diversity of nature, and we are passionate about protecting it

THE CHALLENGE

Traceability and Transparency

The opacity and complexity of supply chains present significant challenges for industries such as textiles, fashion, and luxury to comply with both current and upcoming regulations. Simply labeling products as "fairtrade" or "sustainable" at the point of sale is not a viable strategy. Brands often hesitate to communicate their sustainability efforts effectively, missing the opportunity to build trust and align with their customers' values.

THE SOLUTION

Digital Product Passport

Our solutions highlight the unique features and stories of brands, including materials, manufacturing processes, and sustainability claims. For Senderkis, is important to highlight the traceability and transparency of their supply chain in Spain, including material certifications, and the story of the brand new TALAIA collection. This Case Study will inform the industry how today, it is possible to connect products to digital product passports.

The RESULT

Building Trust and Engagement

The result is a fully connected product with a Digital ID or Certificate of Authenticity with a unique ID powered by OPEN.MODE. This case study was a collaborative journey through expert consultancy, bespoke solution design, and produced a short film showcasing behind-the-scenes footage from the factory, as well as an editorial photoshoot with final products, ready to elevate the brand’s legacy.

Enhancing the connection between our brand and consumers by providing a meaningful, trust-driven experience is key for us. Leveraging cutting-edge technology like NFC allows us to stand apart by sharing the full story behind how our bags and accessories are made. The ability to continuously update the digital experience and offer exclusive services and brand offers through our Digital ID is incredibly exciting for the future of SENDERKIS.

This summer, Senderkis embarked on an exclusive partnership with Particular at Casa Jondal, establishing them as our retail collaborator in Ibiza. The collection was showcased alongside Particular’s handpicked selection of unique and emerging designers, highlighting the convergence of bold innovation and curated craftsmanship. Central to this collaboration was an interactive “meet the designer” workshop led by Mariana Senderkis, our founder and creative director, allowing guests to create bespoke belts, phone straps, and jewelry, immersing themselves in the spirit of artisanal creativity. This initiative brought to life the synergy between Senderkis' statement pieces and Particular’s commitment to distinctive fashion, curating an unparalleled experience on the island. Additionally, the launch of our Digital Product Passport powered by OPEN.MODE redefined how customers connect with their Senderkis pieces. The vibrant energy of the collection resonated effortlessly, captivating the discerning community of Ibiza.
